Time to start loosening up… this is a single-player, online tournament specifically
for MiLB, Pro Softball players, and 2020 Olympic athletes.
$20,000 is on the line for players that advance past the Qualifying Round and compete in the Finals.

  • All 2019 & 2020 MiLB players currently NOT on a 40-man MLB roster
  • All Olympians that qualified for the 2020 Tokyo games

Baseball
  • Pitch speed must be a MINIMUM OF 70 mph as measured by HitTrax software (home plate speed)
Softball
  • Pitch speed must be a MINIMUM OF 60 mph as measured by HitTrax software (home plate speed)
  1. We will NOT allow compensation of pitch speed if the pitching machine is closer to home plate. Pitch speed at home plate MUST meet minimum requirements regardless of distance of pitching machine from home plate.
  2. Hits struck from a pitch with a speed lower than the minimum requirement will automatically be blocked (not tracked) by the HitTrax program. The hit will not count.
Facility Requirements

  • Pitching machine must be able to throw a minimum of 80 mph (baseball), 70 mph (softball).
        - Manual feed or auto feed are both acceptable
  • High Speed Internet
Baseball/Softball Type

  • Baseball- standard

*Dimple balls are acceptable, but typically result in lower exit velos. No compensation will be allowed due to this performance difference

Bat Type

  • Baseball – wood (no composite)
  • Softball – ISF or NPF bats
Format

Opening Round - Qualifier
  • (3) standalone 6 inning games, 20 min time limit for each game
  • The players with the highest amount of runs scored cumulatively in the 3 games will advance to the Finals.
  • Tiebreaker – highest quality point value accumulated over the 3 games
Finals
  • 32 players total – ranked 1-32
        - 8 players per region     - Divided up into regions by ranking, not actual location
  • Sync Play – 6 innings monitored by designated HT team
  • First 3 rounds are single elimination play; player with the highest score after 6 full innings advances to the next round.
        - Extra innings will take affect if score is tied after 6 innings of play.
  • Round 4 and 5 (final four) is a best of 3 series. The first player to win 2 games in the best of 3 series will advance and/or be declared the winner of the tournament.
        - Extra innings will take affect if score is tied after 6 innings of play.
Cash Prizes

Each tournament will have a $20,000 cash purse to the split between the winner and all participants in the Finals round.
1st place - $10,000
2nd - $4,000
3rd - $1,000
4th - $1,000
5th – 8th - $400/player ($1,600 total)
9th – 32nd - $100/player ($2,400)

General Rules

All players must register and agree to the rules and regulations (terms of use) of the tournament.

In the Finals round(s), if the system records an errant throw for a hit or mistakenly tracks a ball then BOTH players must consent to a removal of the hit.

HitTrax officials will have final say in a dispute. HitTrax reps will be available and monitor all games played during the Finals.

Players must honor all rules of the tournament at all times. Failure to do so will lead to elimination from the tournament.
