The HitTrax PRO system, first introduced more than 12 years ago, pioneered the baseball tech wave by combining advanced performance metrics with an engaging, game-like simulator environment. The very first HitTrax PRO utilized a first-generation optical sensor (which used USB cameras), setting a new standard for capturing hitting data and establishing the foundation for today’s baseball analytics.
HitTrax is now excited to introduce its sixth-generation optical sensor (code name “Ultimate”), the core of all future HitTrax systems. The sensor will debut as part of the next-generation HitTrax PRO system, replacing the current Gen 5 sensor. The Gen 6 sensor delivers the same high level of accuracy and millisecond response time that users expect, while featuring a streamlined, precision-engineered form factor made from pure aluminum (3″ x 3″ x 43″) and incorporating a next-generation architecture that enables expanded data capture and future performance metrics.

After its debut in the HitTrax PRO, the Gen 6 sensor will power the upcoming HitTrax REV system, which made its first appearance at the American Baseball Coaches Association Convention this past January. The REV introduces an optical AI–based system capable of measuring key pitching metrics—including spin rate, spin axis, release point, and other advanced data points in milliseconds!
Orders for the next-generation HitTrax PRO, featuring the Gen 6 sensor, are now being accepted with first shipments scheduled for April, giving players, coaches, and facilities the opportunity to experience the latest in baseball simulation technology.
